Occasionally, there is a problem with a car that was not discovered in the inspection, or there is some known maintenance or repair needing to be addressed at this stage. I consider it part of my job to see that every detail gets settled before I present you with my bill. I will take the car to shops in my network of associates, or to the places you prefer, to ensure there is nothing left undone to satisfy you with the condition and performance of your car. If the problem or needed maintenance was disclosed at the time of purchase, you are responsible to pay for whatever work is needed. I will do the schlepping about to make sure it gets done, but you have to reimburse me for my expenses. If there are any unhappy surprises, I will do my best to fix them, up to the amount of my fee. That is, I will be liable only to the extent that you are paying me for my work. I cannot return the car to the seller, or take ownership of the car myself and refund your money. I do not own the car at any time, and my license does not allow me to sell the car to another buyer. If you are unhappy with any detail of your car when you get it, please bring it to my attention immediately so that I can try to make it right.
